This year's Walk Now For Autism Speaks Hawaii is on Saturday, April 20, 2013. It's being held once again at beautiful Magic Island. It is coming up FAST! Less than 3 weeks away!
Here is a short video describing a little about Allyson and how she's progressing. I will be posting more little videos in the next couple of weeks because I just couldn't fit it all in! I had so much great material and it killed me that I couldn't show you all of it at once. But I really wanted our main fundraising video to be short and sweet as always for all my ADD friends. Ha ha!

Please, please, please, consider joining our team. Even if you are only able to donate a little, believe me, if all of my friends and family just donated a little, it will add up to a whole lot! Also, please send the word out to family and friends via email, in person, Facebook or Twitter, etc. because ultimately what we are is a community that helps one another. Please feel free to share this site or any posts or emails I send to you. Someone may not be able to donate, but perhaps if they view this video, they may be able to make a difference by being compassionate to someone on the Autism Spectrum, or lend a hand to a parent of a child on the spectrum. I would have loved to have someone say a kind word to me or offer to help, instead of the blatant stares and even condemnation while Ally was stimming or behaving a bit strange. Let's not judge a book by it's cover!
My personal goal this year to is raise $1,000. Our team goal is to raise $5,000. Please help us reach our goals this year!

We would love it if you would bring your family and spend the day with us. We'll be having a lunch picnic again and we are very fortunate to have my brothers and their friends helping us setting up the big tents and taking care of the food. Nothing fancy, burgers & hot dogs and the like. We plan on going swimming after the walk and bouncing in the bouncers that are usually there at the event. It's a chance to spend some fun time together, catch up and simply relax under the sun. We would love to see you, even if you just want to drop by and say hello.

And to our mainland ohana, we wish you could join us on the day of the walk, but please don't let that stop you from joining our team. We would love Allyson's Fan Club to be a national team!
